Pastoral Staff

  • Rev. John Harrison

    Reverend Harrison and his wife Kathy joined Faith Community Church in 2011. Rev Harrison comes from a business background and started his Bible Study at Faith Community Church. He is currently working for Ewing Oil and acting as Senior Pastor for Faith Community. He took over the role of Senior Pastor in June of 2021 from Rev Dixon. He and Kathy are thrilled to be serving God, through the ministry of Faith Community Church. 

  • Rev. Harry HetZ

    Reverend Hetz and his wife Lois joined Faith Community Church in  2016. They moved into the area in 2015 and decided to make Faith Community their church home. Rev. Hetz is a retired computer engineer who attended seminary part-time to get his Theology degree. He has served the fire service community for more than 48 years as a volunteer firefighter. Rev. Hetz has been ministering in the fire service as a Chaplain since 1994. He has served as the Chaplain for two local fire departments, as a Chaplain and Chief Chaplain for the volunteer fire and rescue service of Prince George’s County, and as a Chaplain for the volunteer fire service across the State of Maryland. Rev. Hetz and Lois are excited to be a part of our church family and look forward to ministering in God’s calling.


  • Rev. J. Harvey Dixon

    Rev. J. Harvey Dixon has served the congregation at Faith Community Church since it began in 1966. He and his wife, Theresa (deceased), were among the first twelve people who began a Prayer Fellowship that later became Faith Community Church. Along with pastoring, Rev. Dixon served as a volunteer firefighter for 25 years, holding all offices in the department except for chief. He and his wife, Pearl, are thrilled to continue sharing the Gospel through the ministry of Faith Community Church. Rev. Dixon is now the Pastor Emeritus.

  • Rev Dan Taylor

    Rev Daniel H. Taylor

    Now semi-retired, Pastor Dan and his wife, Betsy, of Laurel,

    Delaware pastored churches in Pennsylvania., Maryland and

    Delaware over forty-five years. They sing together and still

    minister with Bible/singing services in senior day care centers,

    as well as doing pulpit supply as needed.

    Dan received his education at Messiah College after serving

    four years in the U.S. NAVY. He was issued minister’s credentials

    and began pastoring in 1968 and was ordained in 1971.

    The Taylors have three children and eight grandchildren.
