  • Catherine "Kitty" Virginia Prucell Butler

    Catherine "Kitty" Virigina Prucell Butler 95, of Fruitland passed away Monday April 20,2020 at Salisbury Nursing Home. Born on April 20,1924 in Richmond, Va she was the daughter of the late John and Florence "Elroy" Couter. Kitty was the former secretery treasurer of the Teamsters Union Local 876. She was the bookkeeper for ST Moore, Skipjacks Seafood, and various other businesses. She was a member of Faith Community Church. She is survived by four children: Sharon Payne (Barry), Linda Dickerson, Roger "Butch "Purcell, Jr (Dee), and Pam Catlin (Gary), Ten Grandchildren Six Great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Purcell, Sr. in 1977, Second husband, Elmo "Tommy" Parker Butler in 2016, sons-in-law, Benny Dickerson and Donald Lokey, Sr. and ten brothers and sisters. 

  • mARY eLIZABETH fIELDS

    Mary Elizabeth Fields, 88, went home with the lord on January 16,2021 at Coastal Hospice at the lake located in Salisbury, Maryland. She was born in Salisbury, Maryland on February 15, 1932 to Elwood Ray Williams and Pauline Lena Smith. 

    She was a loving mother to 3 beautiful children, Robert Gordon Fields, Jr,(deceased), S. Ray Fields, and Kathy L. Harrison. She was loved by her grandchildren Timothy Fields, Aaron Fields, Mitchell McPhail and Chris Scuse, 6 Great-Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. 

    She was a member of Faith Community Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Gordon Fields and brother Elwood R. Williams, Jr.

    The memorial service was held on May 22, 2021 at Faith Community Church.  



  • Jean Riall

    Jean Miles Riall, 93, died on Friday, January 7, 2022 at her home, surrounded by family and friends. Born on January 31, 1928 in Salisbury and raised in Hebron, she was the daughter of the late Bloomfield and Margaret(Savage)Miles. 

    Jean worked for the State of Maryland for 30 years. She was a long time member of Faith Community Church where she worked in the office for a period of time.  

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward B Riall.  Jean is survived by her two children, Bonnie J. McAllister of Eden, and Edward F Riall(Ben Cheseldine) of Salisbury; two granddaughters, Kimberly Ruark(Chris) and Heather Davidson; six great[granchildren and two great-great grandchildren. 

  • Leonard Kline

    Leonard Aaron Kline, 84, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, October 31,2019, at Coastal Hospice at The Lake. Born in Liverpool, Pa. he was the son of the late Lester Guy Kline and Ardella Ruth Miller Kline.

    Leonard was a US Navy Korean War Veteran. He worked for 25 years at H>D> Metal in Salisbury and then for 10 years as a Tupperware distributor until retiring in 1988. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling to all 50 states and 37 countries. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Ann Bower Kline; two daughters, Glenda Harnad, and her husband Ken, of Waynesboro, Va, and Tammy Wiersma and her husband Jorrit, of Sweden; 5 grandchildren Max Thompson (Abby), Charotte Rule (Charles), Miles Harnad, Thomas & Daniel Wiersma; and a great grandchild, Declan Thompson; two brothers, Carl Miller of New Market, Md & Robert Kline(Marie)  of Liverpool, Pa; a sister, Cynthia Chubb(Larry) of Liverpool, Pa; a brother in law Robert Reichenbach(lois) of Mt Pleasant Mills, Pa; and many special friends. Leonard was a member of Faith Community Church for many years. 

  • dOROTHY lEE bOWER

    Dorothy Lee Bower, 96, of Salisbury, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Golden Gardens in Parsonsburg. Born October 20, 1914 in Newsoms, Va, she was the daughter of the late Edward David Bunn and Delyahia Lee Porter Bunn. She was a devoted member of Faith Community Church. She and her late husband owned and operated the Salisbury Trailer Park and Sales for many years. She was known as "Nin" to her beloved grandchildren. She visited the holy land with Rev Dixon on  one of his many trips. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bower Kline(Leonard); two grandaughters Glenda Harnad(Kenneth) of Waynesboro, Va., Tammy Wiersma (Jorrit) of Sweden; 5 great grandchildren; Max Thompson of Salisbury, Charlotte & Miles Harnad of Waynesboro, Va, Thomas and Daniel Wiersma of Sweden; and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter James Bower in 1966; two sisters Mildred Dryden and Helen Tippett; and a brother, Raymond Bunn.
